Please help me to understand design of multiterminal capacitive sensor for diesel level measurement in a tank.

I am not getting how to construct multiterminal electrode. I have seen many articles but donot find detailed basic information for multi terminal electrode structure.

Please share your experiences and resources.

    Many Thanks

I'm not sure about "multi-terminal" capacitive fuel level sensors, but the one's I have seen are just two electrodes. The value of the capacitor for formed by the two electrodes varies with the level of the air/fuel dielectric. The capacitive sensor is used to vary the frequency of an oscillator proportionally to the fuel level. The frequency id converted to a level display.
