    Hi All!

I'm new with MPLAB and PIC microcontroller BUT I know about AVR microcontroller...

    Here's my concern:
I just installed MPLAB IDE v7.00 in my laptop I read a bit about the MPLAB User. Guide but still a bit confused...

Can anyone show me (steps) how to:
    1. Create a asm file
    2. How to simulate it
    3. How to check the code size, cpu cycles (Best case and Worst case)

    Regards,

MPLAB version 7 is quite old. I suggest you download a newer version from microchip. And take a look here at the first post here

What kind of PIC do you plan to program for. And will you also burn the code into some chip. Or just simulate

    Thanks for this quick reply!
I'm using PIC16F684 and I'm just going to simulate the code! Not going to burn it into the chip...which version would you recommend?

    Thanks,
