I've got MPlab mostly working on Ubuntu 10.10 using WINE 1.2.1 but the logic analyzer is broken.
Anyone got any ideas? I've searched and found nothing. I'm very new to Ubuntu so there's a good chance I'm doing something stupid.

This isn't going to be to much help with this I'm afraid but I'd be more inclined to run it in a virtual machine rather than wine. Check out http://www.virtualbox.org/ it works like a charm with Ubuntu and it's free. It's a bit more time consuming to set up given you've gotta install your OS of choice but aside from that it's awesome for running all those windows programs you can't live without...

    I didn't know about virtualbox.
It's a good idea, but I don't have any windows DVDs - I keep buying preinstalled machines.
I might look into one of the native Linux IDEs for PICs.
