i hope this forum is the proper place for this question.
i have a projector in the living room on one side and a screen on the other side.
my wife wants to place a Chandelier in the middle of the room thus blocking the projector image to the screen. if i dont find a solution for this i might lose my projector and its unthinkable :)
the project:
a 6ft long ceiling mounted track that can electrically move a Chandelier (with its power wire) from point a to point B. remote controlled.

i looked online for an off the shelf item but with no luck.
any recommendations and tips would be greatly appreciate!
(i guess the main question here is - how do i get an engine to move something on a track that can be mounted on a ceiling (not too heavy))

Possibly something like a fairly large track for a suspended-style sliding door, plus a 'curly' power cable hidden within it so the power is a simple, permanent connection.

If you can find the parts to do the mechanics, it could then be automated with a cord drive type motor intended for automating curtains or blinds.
