Newbie to electronics. Here's what I have. 2014 Ural motorcycle with first EFI system they've used. Dual coil. Fires once per rpm. Not a wasted spark system. Planning to pick up signal from each coil with MSD Ignition GMR Pickup (PN 8918) and run through their diode coupler (PN 8911). Output of GMR pickup is 12V square wave.

Can you tell me if the output from the GMR can be run directly into an older coil/distributor type of tach? Tach was designed for reading negative post on coil.
