i have a 3 phase 400 volt motor rewound. full load amps are 219,motor is cpnnected in star delta.when the motor stared up my amprobe recorded 11amps within 15 seconds the motor motor was on fire

Sounds like both the motor and the Amprobe were faulty. It only read 11 amps?

If your connections were sound and to the correct terminals, the rewind must have been faulty. Was this the initial start after the service?

 

all connection were sound and correct for this motor . how doesa motor 175 hp burn in 15 second. none of the overloads trip

 

Where was the ammeter? You sure the rewind was with appropriate gauge cabling and enough parallel windings to carry the currents you expected and were fused for?

My guess would be they generally do a winding with multiple wires in parallel? If so perhaps one was connected and not the other 2 or 3?
