    Friends,
Just a quick question. For an n-channel MOSFET that has its drain and get connected and its source shorted to ground, the MOSFET HAS TO operate in the triode region right? This is because, VD=VG, hence VDS=VGS and VDS now has to be lower than VGS-Vt. (The solutions is Sedra and Smith have it as operating in the saturation region. This is not correct, right?)

    Thanks!

No, the opposite, ignore posting please! VDS will be higher than VGS-Vt, hence it will operate in the saturation region.
