Mosfet replacement alternative

Hi, im new to posting on this forum but have been lurking for quite a while now and have learnt so much from here! I am currently working on a smps for a television thats gone kaput. I am trying to source a replacement for a mosfet thats gone bad, I cannot source the original part so I am looking at alternatives. Coule someone please advise me as to weather this is a suitable replacement. The MOSFET that i'm replacing is an n channel W29NK50ZD, the data sheet can be found here:

The one that I have found is a hitachi 2SK1520, the data sheet can be found here:

I would be extremely greatfull for some experienced knowledge on this one

The 2SK1520 would be a suitable substitute as the characteristics are similar. You need to test all the components associated with the transistor and replace any that are defective before replacing it.
