I am having problem with BUZ11 mosfet. I am trying to use this mosfet as switching function.

Can anyone explain what it does and how it work in detail ?

I think I am misunderstanding this component.

You must apply a voltage on the gate pin relative to the source pin of about 10 volts to switch on these types of MOSFET.
