Hi,
I am a beginner and I would like to know how a ferrite bead can be modelled electrically i.e. what is the electrical equivalent of a ferrite bead.

I tried googling this and i found that a DC Series resistance with a parallel combination of a R, L, C would do it.

But when i searched for the capacitance of a ferrite bead it did not show up in the data sheet.

What should i Do?

I am trying to model a low pass filter in matlab. for which i need the transfer function

Thanks!

Why do you need C? A ferrite bead is modelled as an inductor with parallel resistor, because it behaves like that. Alternately, if you really insist on having a capacitor there, add a few femto farads parallel to that.
Like here in figure 2 for example http://www.mbedded.ninja/electronics/components/ferrite-beads
You can get really fancy with the equivalent circuit like here in fig. 5, but I have no Idea where you would get those values from. http://www.planetanalog.com/document.asp?doc_id=527996
