I need to know what is possible min range to measure time of flight.
My requirement is for less then 1 ft range, high accuracy is expected.
In other words what is possible solution to measure the distance of less then 1 ft range.

Radio waves travel about 1ft/nanosecond. This means you cannot have a pulse much longer than a nanosecond to resolve this....which is one cycle of a 1GHZ signal. You will need OPTICAL methods to do this, in other words.
