    Hello Sir/Mam ,
    Please tell me the reason that why clock frequency of 8051 is 11.059MHz why not 12MHz

    11.0592 MHz when divided by an integer(s) (1152 and 576) will produce a better approximation to standard baud rates of 9600 bits per second and 19,200 bits per second. A small sacrifice in execution speed increases the bit time accuracy of serial communications. This is a very common compromise.

    On ATmega processors from Atmel 7.3728 MHz is used in place of 8.000 MHz for the same reason.

    They are used pretty much anywhere equipment is controlled electronically along with about of dozen or so manufactures that do the same thing.
