Hi guys, I need some help.

Project:
LED connected to a AA battery with a single push on/off metal dome switch.

Question
How would I connect the dome switch so that push once = On, push again = off?

So its a bit like pressing the on/off button on a calculator. Just that I don't understand or know what components I'd need. Some kind of Chip? Relay?

Why not just use that type switch? Here; http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/category/716/Switches-Pushbutton/1.html There are quite a few switches on this site that are push-on/push-off.

 

Cheers for the diagrams, I wish I could pretend I knew what I was looking at , I've never actually made a circuit with the aid of a diagram then again never made anything more complex than a simple motor,battery,light circuit.

I ripped apart a old Panic alarm/LED Flashlight and managed to make a circuit with the metal dome switch. Working great. But it means the light doesn't illuminate constant....so to make my life simpler as (shortbus suggests) I'll use a normal switch.
