    I would use mikroC. It works very well and is simple to use.

    And, every single thing in the program described maps nearly exactly to another c compiler...there are no function libraries referenced...?

    There's that site and another good link to a pulse-induction detector somewhere. If I can dig it up I'll post it. It's really cool.

    Don't limit yourself to particular thing....just explore the new things.
