Measuring Current…..

    Is it possible to use Digital AC clamp meter to measure DC Current ?....to get even a basic idea.. ? :confused:

    No, yo have to use a DC clamp meter.

    Digital has nothing to do with how the meter responds. A Hall effect clamp probe can measure DC. Very pricy, however. See page 7 of this link. http://cp.literature.agilent.com/litweb/pdf/5989-6162EN.pdf

    They do make cheap DC clamp meters, but you have to be sure the function is as stated. Harbor Freight comes to mind. Just be aware you get what you pay for, buy a cheap meter, get a cheap meter.
