Can some body list the instruments/devices available for measuring contact pressure of a switch or any contact in general (relay contacts, contactors etc.)

Do you need to develop a circuit to measure the pressure, or buy a device that will do it for you?

And by "contact pressure" do you mean the pressure of one piece of metal against another inside the switch?

    I want to buy that.
yes exactly, what i mean by contact pressure is the force required to separate the contacts when the switch is in closed position.

A small pull scale with peak hold?

Or do you not have physical access to the contacts?

So I guess you'll have to take the switch apart, and use something like THIS for the measurement.
Or you might kludge something together with some small levers and use a cheap digital scale or pressure gauge.
    Google with
    small micro gauge force
and you'll get a ton of hits.

Pull scale is okay.. but alignment seems to be an issue. sometimes, the contacts are accessible but pull scale kind of instrument cannot be used because of the position of contacts..
