Measure transfmr

    Hello,

    I have a question.
    On the drawing, what is the purpose of stepdown transformer T1 of FIG.1 and FIG. 2 ?

    What is "UUT"? What is to be tested by this circuit? That might help give a clue.

    I am guessing, but the transformer might be a device to help measure current to the Unit Under Test in the first drawing, and a voltage measuring transformer in the second drawing. After all, there must be another purpose besides warming the 10 ohm resistor.

    That's my guess, based on very little information.

    The drawing is showed a portion of test panel for AC voltage and load to UUT ( Unit Under Test). As #12 said, the transfomer of FIG.1 is used to measure the current. On the FIG.1, if we increase the load 3000W between Hot and Neutral sides, does it affect anything on Transformer that is used to measure the current by the scope probe?
