Hi All,

I am doing a MCU survey.
Based on your experience on touch application, how many MCU pin is commonly apply in design project and does it has any special feature is needed but existing MCU cannot be supported.

Touch Application
MCU Pin: 20-48 pin / more than 48 pin
Special feature is needed but existing MCU cannot support:

Depends on the rest of the design project.
If you need 50-pin I/O go with the MCU that can support that, i.e. 64-pin or 100-pin chip.

Are you talking about touch buttons or a touch screen? Touch buttons can be handled directly by the uC but touch screens would their own dedicated control IC which then communicates, perhaps by I2C or SPI, with the uC.

There is no answer to your question. Use 176-pin chip if you need the pins.
