I'm a fan of python and its libraries (see here for some details). You can do simple types of computer algebra work with SymPy, but it isn't as powerful as a compiled tool like Mathematica. You'll also be disappointed if you want "easily solved", as in general there is no such tool. Even with computer tools, doing math well requires thinking and hard work. Remember the old adage: "There is no royal road to geometry".
