Are you asking if there are any EE's here with specialized experience, or do you wish to know if such a specialty exists?

Many boats have both AC and DC, but at different levels...Keep them separated! Separate circuit breakers for each! A ground (to shore power) is a must for safety concerns. Also, an isolation transformer is recommended when connected to shore power. Warning! Get expert advice before attempting to wire marine appliances yourself!

I owned a Marine Electronics shop for 14 years in Delray Beach Florida. Our boating season is 365 days a year and I can tell some fascinating, if not horrific, stories about shore power and suicidal customers! ;)
