This has been brought up periodically, I suspect there are good reasons it can't be done, but I'm asking again to be sure.

Some forums suffer because the link "Moved, Title" shows up when someone posts where they shouldn't and one of the moderators has to move it. It detracts from the remaining threads that are supposed to be there.

The Completed Projects Forum comes to mind, but it isn't the only one.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Most of the time when I move a thread, the link will expire and dissapear afther 1 month.
We let the link exist for that time so the OP can find his post.

I just checked, it doesn't work that way in the Completed Projects forum. The thread moved at the bottom of the 1st page is dated April.

Guess I learned something today, someone has been doing it. Does it require manual cleanup?

I went a few pages deeper, and there were no bad threads. This implies someone has been removing them (or making them invisible). It does seem we've had a flurry of them lately.
