Hello guys, my local hackerspace is going to maker fair Detroit. Is anyone thinking of going? There will be many cool projects and inventions. I am bringing my binary clock to the fair which I created thanks to advice from a few members on this site. Our hackerspace is bringing many interesting projects. We are also creating a power wheels modified and geekified electric race car. There will be a race of such cars from hacker spaces all over the USA.

Its time to support Detroit after their horrible financial situation. If you are in the area, you should go.

If you don't know what a maker fair is, imagine the classic world's fair, but for amateur geeks and engineers and DIY people.

We have had them in Dallas, but never have made one.

We have a Maker Space that is pretty cool, no relation. For $50/mo you get access to their tools, oscopes, laser cutters, plasma cutters, 3D printers... You get the idea.

You are going to see more major cities go bankrupt, mainly because of wild spending, and fantasy pensions. Those poor municipal employees, aren't going to have pensions.
