LPF working (doubt)

    Hai Members

    In the LPF diagram shown below
    Input and Output are connected by wire
    Does it filter work effectively? If so, How it works?
    I found it Maxim IC data sheet

    The input is not connected to output directly as you have mentioned. Please examine the ckt carefully. I/p is passed through a RC filter here R is fixed C is actively varied(switched) by MAX280, thus making an effective RC low pass filter.

    I wish to remove the connection between 1 and 7,
    the top wire
    is it right decision?

    You can remove C' in that loop. If you remove C then there is no filtering. If you want to do away with it you could aswell remove the IC.
