LM386: Setting Gain with resistor-cap networks

    Hi all,

    Sorry for the newb question - but is there an easy "rule of thumb" or some precise method for the LM386 on how to pick the resistor and cap values to set the gain. The datasheet doesn't seem to have a formula (you can find the datasheet available here: http://www.national.com/mpf/LM/LM386.html)

    Wow. Thats kind of odd.

    They only tell you how to get 200 from the preset 20. AND they tell you that it is possible by using 'resistors' but they dont give a formula.

    Time to check the App notes.
