So im trying to build a lm386 amp circuit the only prob im having is the darn thing wont output any sound. The one time I got it to output anything it was pretty low. I have tried 2 new lm386, new wires, and breadboard still nothing. Can you take a look at it and give me some suggestions? I think you need to change somethings

First is tht this chip can use single ended supply. With ±9V you are at it's limit.
You might wanna use just 0 - 9V only. No negative rail as per the data I believe.

Check the data sheet attached.

PS. I would built one from the data sheet first and then make changes.
