Linear triangular waveform is usually recommended over a linear ramp for a typical class D amp. I am wondering why this is?

I'm guessing perhaps because of reduced harmonic content?

A triangle waveform is better (gives lower THD ) because triangle will give you nice symmetrical and center aligned PWM.
