Limiter switch

Hi there,

I looking to put together a system that include a motor that moves back and forth across a linear track. I was planning on using a limiter switch (DPDT) on either end to switch the polarity to send the motor back and forth. I am just not certain how to wire it as a three way switch.

Another though i'd had was using two momentary push switches on either end which would send a momentary pulse to a second switch that would change the polarity - but i do not know what this switch would be called - a switch that would DPDT with a momentary pulse and remain that way until another pulse switches it back.

Any ideas?

Thanks

See the attached for a possible solution using a single DPDT ON-ON toggle switch mounted on the carriage with your motor.

Yours would be similar, except instead of the stops on a rotating plate, there needs to be a stop at either end of your carriage's travel for the switch handle to contact.
