I suspect so. The reports may be exaggerated, but dictators rarely go quietly into retirement. Those that do are either very smart or statesmen, neither describes Gaddifi (funny, I always thought it was spelled with a K). Ever since his link with bombing airliners during the 80's has been firmly established the Western governments (note the plural use) have been waiting for an excuse. Reagan did not loose any brownie points when he appologized for killing Gaddifi's 3 year old adopted daughter, and finished the sentence "we were aiming for you!".

I do find it a bit surreal though.

 

Everybody please just follow the news. This can't help but get political.
