I am looking for help (until repaired) with a Lexicon Digital Reverb LXP-15-II. I am told that it is the same hardware as the Lexicon Digital Reverb LXP, just programming changes. Here is a link to the Service Manual.

    ftp://ftp.audiopro.de/Lexicon/Downloads/Service-Anleitungen/LXP1/LEXLXP1Servicemanual.pdf

I ran these tests with these results:
    Midi Test Failed
    Switch Test—- Passed
    Direct Audio Test Passed
    Processed Audio Test
    ADC Test Failed
    Factory reset-Clear All RAM Passed
Overload Light Flickers & moving the input knob shows green “signal” lights

    Voltages all check good.

The fact that you have unrelated systems failing, and definitely the flickering overload light and inputs Vu lights full on, to me sounds like you have bad power supply voltage ripple.

I would check/replace all the electro caps in the power supply.

What equipment or experience do you have?

I have the necessary scopes, meters, frequency generators, ESR meter, Bench Power Supplys and more. I have the data sheets on the IC's and from there on I am lost after it goes to digital. The analog input and output are working fine.

I'll check the ripple and the caps tonight!

    Thank you

I am more than happy to supply display photos, do whatever I am instructed to do.

Sounds like you have a good setup. Just ESR test all the electros anywhere in the PSU area, especially near heatsinks etc.

A photo of the PCB(s) including the PSU area would help. :)
