led warning lights

    need help, wanting to make led warning lights for my car. have 5 1 watt leds thinking about using a 4015 boost puck or a 4023-D-350 Buck Toot but i dont know where to put the flasher in the circuit. have a sho-me 11.1005 flasher. will be using 5 leds per fixture the buck toot has a input to make the unit flash but dont under stand what kind of input needed any help would be great

    Make sure any lighting/effects you put on a motor vehicle pass any local/state laws.

    5 1 watt LEDs would violate most US Laws unless they were white, pointing to the front, and not flashing.

    Here is a rough definition of "illegal" for most of the US: Red/Blue/Green to the front, white to the rear (except when backing up). Flashing/strobing forward, flashing is allowed only while braking/turning, or parked (hazard lights). Headlight brightness and taillight brightness also must be within limits. If taillights make an officer behind you squint, you'll get a ticket.
