LED Sequencer - on this circuit, which uses the 555 & 4017 decade counter/divider, how can I continue on with the sequencing and more leds and 4017's ? I know that the 555 can handle 200 MA. Thanks!

    Bertus,
Thank you very much for suggesting this circuit! P.S. the picture of the cat looks like my Tiger.

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5936&d=1229514047 Remember that 0 is always high at reset.. A single current limiting resistor will do for several 4017's as only one output is high at a time. 'would suggest a higher operating V for better output drive. At 8V, r=439 ohms, V out 5V, I=11.4 mA; @ 12V, r=872,V out 9.5V, I=10.9mA, all while driving a bright white LED.
