LED Control by 2N9303 transistor problem

    Can anyone please suggest me a plausible solution for this:

    a circuit is to be designed where two series connected LEDs are to be controlled by a 2N9303 transistor with a 12V supply and V break downn = 5V. The diode current is to be approx. 15 mA.

    What do you mean by the break down voltage?

    This is serious: what color are the LED's?

    The schematic would be very useful.

    I think he meant voltage drop. Or at least that is what I expect.

    Circuit diagram needed.

    2N3903 does sound more likely.
