i am using a high brightness LED to illiminate an area, but need to dim it occassionally.so i rigged up a 330r stop resisstor in series with a 500 ohm pot.
unfortunately, predictably i suppose, its rubbish, the led varies hardly at all.
i spose i could put up with it but if anyone can suggest something not too involved, a simple pwm perhaps,it would be much appreciated.

    many thanks

according to the spec need 330 ohm =30 ma forward current
