2 things about your circuit.

1. TTL cannot source much current to light the LED. But if you connect one side of the LED to +5V and use the TTL output to provide logic low, it should work.

2. Don't forget to add a resistor in series with the LED in real circuit.

I simulated your circuit in proteus and connect the LED as I have suggested and invert the output from the OR gate and the LED did light up. But there is no way to switch off the LED. What's the purpose of this circuit?
