How would you classify LDOs (Low Dropout Linear Regulator)?
I see that there is one way to classify LDOs is based on pass element.
Base on pass element, we can divide LDOs into types PNP, NPN, PNP + NPN, NMOS, PMOS, NMOS +PMOS.

However, is there a classification based on how pass element is connected?
For example, LDO with series or parallel pass element.

I see many LDO with series pass element but can't find LDO with parallel pass element. Is there an LDO with parallel pass element?

Parallel pass element ?? Do you mean shunt regulator ??

I think so but I think there is no LDO like that.

LDO (Low Dropout Regulator) only has meaning when applied to a series regulator. It has no meaning for a shunt regulator.
