    Hello Friends,
I am doing a small project on laser communication from this website http://captain.haddock.8m.com/laser/laser1.html . I want to know if anyone could throw some light of the working of transmitter on the processing of sound waves through the electret microphone to the IC2a i.e. LM358. How is the current through the laser being controlled.....Can anyone explain the working.

    Thanks.

It looks like the laser is audio modulated. The first opamp provides some voltage amplification, then the second opamp is just a driver that provides current to the modulating transistor.

I didn't read much of the text but it looks like it is explained quite well.
