if two regulators are in parallel do I need two .33 micro farad capacitors, one on each input side of the regulators or will one work for both regulators? And what type of cap would work best for audio device? And can I use the base-emitter junction of a transistor as a .7 volt zener diode?

Best to put caps as close to the input and output sides, so each regulator needs its own caps. As for the zener best to use an ordinary silicon diode.

thanks for your input I'm just having trouble finding a .7 volt diode.

Is it for the regulator common leg, to increase its output?

No, is to suppress a 1 volt spke on an output upon startup, and would like to start this supression at point .4 to .6 volt without changing frequency or DC offsett

If you post a circuit diagram of what your doing, you might get more help.

I have a specific band pass filter RC network with capitive coupling for 0.0 volt DC offset within rms voltage 100 MV at output.

thanks for the input guys my DC offset went to zero with the diode once I put the diode on the other side of the coupling capacitor.
