Can someone please explain the best method for solving this;

I have a circuit with 100μf, resisor with 1kΩ and 100mH coil at the bottom of thecdiagram is left open with 20Vac.

- I Need to eork out thecurrent flowing through the resistor when supplied to 5kHz
- Determine the supply frequency which maximum current flows

Now my course tutor has supplied 'Engineering Science' book by Mike Tooley and John Bird and all I can see is a section on laplace that seems very complicated. Can someone please help.

 

Your description of the circuit is far from adequate (at least for me) to know what your circuit looks like. Provide a sketch. Surely you have access to Paint or some other simple, free, drawing program.

And, as we keep telling you, SHOW YOUR WORK!!!!
