2 Little Joule Thief circuits, I noticed that with this circuit if you don't use the Resistor on the Base pin of the transistor it will gladly pull up to 1/2 an amp at 1.28volts .... but regardless of if you use the Resistor or don't, the LED brightness stays roughly the same up to about a 150 ohms.

So seriously, you've never seen one? you should build one, really quite easy i'm sure you have all the components just laying around anyway, good for using dead batteries.
