Theres a little over 160 chips need big hands for those exceptions just in that pdf and a lot of those exceptions would be chips that most ask about but the list Isn't all the exception.
The headers needed and special chips for some cost more then the programer.
Let's who wan't to pay $125 for header $25 for the chip to go on it that's not cheap.
I got a pickit2 i came with a 16f690 low pin count I got a real one from microchip when the came out with the second ones.
I cost $94 to my door I wanted to debug my chips every one needed a header and at that time it was I think $300 and some change for the chips I wanted to debug.
And if you buy all the addons to debug your looking at over $1500 That's fact I just added the stuff Up. what I would need for just the chips I use now 10f 12f 16f and 18f chips I they need to add a 2 debug and one last pickit4 that does it all
