I have an IC with a 1A output current, trying to drive a complimentary pair of large PMOS and NMOS.
I need to eliminate crossover current (shoot through) so I plan to use the circuit on following document page 3 figure 6. I will use a pair of smaller FETs (top and bottom of R4) to drive the larger ones.

But if I don't use the NMOS on the left, eliminate the level shift circuit R1,R2,Z1, just tie the logic directly to the gate of these FETs (top and bottom of R4), does this circuit still work? I can drive and source 1A, not TTL.
