I read the forums here using "New Posts" but lets say I have no interest in a particular forum for example "Home Work"
Is there a setting so it skips that forum (much like an ignore list for users)

 

Not me, I use the browse method. Ocasionally I miss things, but I can ignore people indefinately!

 

The solution I came across is adding the following to the New Post url: "&exclude=forumid,forumid2"

So for example, the home work forum is 7

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=7

Not the most user-friendly way to go about this, but it does seem to work.
