    Hi everyone.

In my country it's difficult to find where to buy small iron sheets to make a small transformer (a bobin about 4.0 x 5.0 cm).

Do you know where can i buy (in United State) some bobin and iron sheets (plates or foils, i don't know the exact word to use). I need somes of 4.0 x 5.0 cm.

    Thanks.

I've never found a small-quantity source for ferrite sheet, but Electronic Goldmine has some "E"-cores. E-Bay sometimes has them as well.

Thanks, but i'm not looking for ferrite cores. I'm looking for iron-silicius (i don't know the exact aliation) laminated cores.

Try "silicon steel" or "M series steel." If you can find some in lots of less than fifty kilograms, please let us know.

    hi

you can make a wooden bobbin or a cartolina bobbin for the sizes you would want.
as to the laminated iron cores i don't know of a place that sells in small quantities except here in my country.
