IR2101 floating voltage

    Hello,

    In the datasheet of IR2101 (description on first page), It is mentioned that,

    The floating channel can be used to drive an N-channel power MOSFET or IGBT in
    the high side configuration which operates up to 600 volts.

    Usually, the floating channel (Vs) is coonected in between the two mosfets in a leg. If Vdc = 600v, then floating channel voltage will be at 300V.

    How can i adjust the floating channel voltage to a desired level (0 ~ 600V)??

    The floating channel goes to Vdc when the top MOSFET is on. Why do you say it's only 1/2 that? :confused:

    iam saying when the mosfet is off.

    So why do you want the floating channel voltage to be 600V when the MOSFET is off? :confused:
