ir sensor 1738

    i am making an infra red remote switch given here http://www.multyremotes.com/ir-switch.htm
    but i did not find ir sensor 1738 instead i used 13238 sensor because i did not get it at any shop but that circuit i.e receiver is not working. plz help me!

    Hello,

    The IR recievers can be frequency dependend.
    You will have to find out on wich frequency you IR reciever is working.
    I have found a datasheet for the tsop1738 but not for the other one.

    One thing I noticed is that there is no current limiting resistor in the transmittor part.

    This can mean that the leds are burnt and you will not recieve any signal.
