Hello.

I have an idea of displaying an object shape on a GLCD. For this i chose a 5x5 IR Tx Rx pair array. The object will be place at a distance of 30cm from the array.

The supply is 5v. see the attachment. The resistor for Tx diode is 330Ω and Rx is 10KΩ. The module is working only for 1cm range. How can i increase its range.

How come a remote opeartes the TV from few meters? Is it about TSOP type receiver? I have seen some transmitters. The TX diodes are connected to 555 astables?

clear my doubts.

Hello,

IR remote controls are using a modulated signal.
This makes them far less sensitive for ambient light.

If you want to protect the circuit from ambient light, either modulate and demodulate the signals or put some tubes around the IR-leds and receivers to block the ambient light.
The tubes also will make the angle of detection a lot smaller, dependent on the length of the tube.
