Hi. I have attached a circuit diagram. My notes say that the circuit will draw a quasi-square current waveform from the mains. Can someone explain this?

The 3-phase rectifier feeds a DC link to the inverter. Assuming the inverter draws a relatively constant DC current to supply the motor then yes, the mains line currents will be quasi-square into the rectifier.
