This Morningstar inverter has a 3 wire out to plug... Can I connect ground to the house ac ground system..?? Dont know what else I could ground it to.. but this inverter system is a separate system ... when it was in the car I had both the ground and the neutral connected to ground as I recall..

Yes, that will make it a protective ground should there be an internal fault.

    one more thing...
Morningstar says use a bigger gauge wire on the ground lug compared to the neg and pos lugs.If I use the house ground system
the path to ground is going to be mostly on 14 gauge wire.. thats
just the way it is at least to the mains. There is no way I can run a fat ground wire separate for this small inverter set up. My thinking is that
something is better than nothing.. right..??
    what do you think....
