    Hello Everyone,
It been 20 years since I have worked with 74 series logic components. My question is. Can I connect in parallel the output of a rotary pulse generator that goes to a 74 series logic circuit to a DC input on a PLC? I still need the older counter circuit but would like to use the pulses from the rotary pulse generator for an additional circuit I am doing with a PLC. I dont have and cant seem to locate a schematic for the mentioned circuit but I can see the pulse generator is connected to a 74123n.Any suggestions? The output of the pulse generator is logic level -20VDC for a high and 0 to -3v for a low.

OK, I suppose a opto isolator will do the trick. Can someone give me some advise on how to apply it?
