Hi,

I have a dpm342 4-20mA loop powered LCD readout, and I want it to read a 36k variable resistor with a 5v supply over its entire range. I know I have to use a op amp, but not sure which one, or the circuit I need. Can anyone help me?

In summary, I need a circuit to convert a signal of (541.61uV - 3.97V) to a current of (4mA to 20mA).

Look up information on current-to-voltage converter circuits and come back after you've looked through that and are in a better position to put together at least the start of an attempt at a solution.
